Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Rolo's AI video and image generation platform ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service. Violations of this AUP may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

Rolo is designed to help creators and marketers produce legitimate advertising and marketing content. The Service must not be used in any way that violates applicable laws, infringes third-party rights, or causes harm to individuals or society.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate any of the following:

• Sexually explicit or adult content — including NSFW material, pornography, or content that sexualises individuals.
• Non-consensual deepfakes — realistic depictions of identifiable real people without their explicit written consent, including synthetic media that impersonates celebrities, public figures, or private individuals.
• Defamatory content — false statements of fact about real individuals or organisations that could damage their reputation.
• Fraud and impersonation — content designed to deceive viewers into believing they are watching real statements from real people, or content used to impersonate brands, public figures, or organisations without authorisation.
• Political disinformation — fabricated statements, fake endorsements, or synthetic media designed to manipulate elections or deceive the public about political matters.
• Content targeting minors — any content that exploits, endangers, or is otherwise inappropriate for individuals under the age of 18.
• Hate speech and incitement — content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Promotion of violence or terrorism — content that glorifies, facilitates, or recruits for violent extremism, terrorism, or mass violence.

3. Prohibited Commercial Uses

You may not use the Service for the following commercial activities:

• Spam and mass harassment — automated campaigns, bulk unsolicited messaging, or content designed to harass individuals at scale.
• Fake reviews — generating testimonials, endorsements, or reviews attributed to real people or fabricated personas intended to mislead consumers.
• Brand impersonation — creating content that falsely represents or implies affiliation with well-known brands, logos, or trademarks you do not own.
• Ad platform policy violations — circumventing, evading, or violating the advertising policies of Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, or any other platform where generated content is distributed.
• Financial or investment fraud — content designed to promote pump-and- dump schemes, unregistered securities offerings, or other fraudulent investment solicitations.

4. AI Actor and Voice Licensing

Rolo's AI actor and voice libraries are licensed for specific uses. By using these assets, you agree to the following:

• AI actors and voices may be used for legitimate commercial advertising purposes only, subject to the restrictions in this AUP.
• You may not use AI actor likenesses to create content that would defame, harass, or harm the underlying actor whose likeness or voice was used to train the model.
• Where required by applicable law or platform policy, you must include appropriate AI disclosure (e.g., "AI-generated content" labels) when distributing content.
• Custom avatar training using your own likeness grants you a licence to use that avatar for your own commercial purposes only. You may not sublicense or transfer custom avatar access to third parties without Rolo's written consent.

5. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you create using the Service. Rolo provides AI generation tools; it does not review content before publication. You represent and warrant that:

• All content you generate complies with this AUP and all applicable laws in your jurisdiction and in the jurisdictions where the content will be distributed.
• You have obtained all necessary rights, licences, and consents for any third-party materials (scripts, product images, brand assets) you incorporate into generated content.
• You will not use the Service to process or include personal data of third parties without appropriate legal basis.

6. Enforcement

Rolo reserves the right to investigate and take action against any content or conduct that violates this AUP. Enforcement actions may include:

• Removal of violating content from Rolo storage.
• Temporary suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund of unused credits.
• Reporting to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required.

Flagged content will typically be reviewed within 24 business hours. If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may submit an appeal to support@roloads.com with the subject line "Content Appeal."

7. Third-Party Service Compliance

Rolo uses AI infrastructure providers including fal.ai and ElevenLabs. Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms of service, which prohibit certain content categories. By using Rolo, you agree to comply with the applicable terms of all underlying AI providers.

8. Changes to This Policy

Rolo may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
